Access Control
We plan access control around who needs to enter each door or gate, and when. Cards, fobs or PIN codes can replace keys, with entry logs linked to camera footage where the systems are compatible.
What's included
Doors, gates and barriers
Controllers, magnetic locks and electric strikes on internal doors; vehicle gates and barriers operated by remote control or number-plate recognition where appropriate.
Credentials
Cards, fobs or keypad codes; mobile credentials can be considered where the chosen system supports them.
Intercom and visitor entry
Video intercom at the gate, remote release where the setup allows, and temporary passes for guests or contractors.
Permissions and audit
Access by person, zone and time of day, with a searchable entry log; camera footage can be linked where the systems are compatible.
Common questions
What happens in a power cut?
Battery backup and fail-safe or fail-secure locking are specified per door, depending on escape requirements.
Can staff use their phones?
Where the chosen system supports mobile credentials, yes. Cards and fobs are often cheaper for high-turnover sites, so a mix can make sense.
Does it work with our CCTV?
Where the door and camera systems are compatible, entries and footage can be reviewed together. Otherwise they can still be matched by timestamp.
How we work
01
Door schedule
Every door listed with who should pass it and when.
02
Design and quote
Hardware per door, plus cabling and power requirements.
03
Install and integrate
Fitting, wiring to the controller, linking to cameras where appropriate.
04
Enrolment and handover
Staff accounts set up, with administrators shown how to grant and remove access.
Design considerations
A door schedule agreed before hardware: who passes which door, and when
Fail-safe versus fail-secure locking decided per door, with escape routes in mind
Cards, fobs and codes chosen for how often users change and for your budget
Camera linkage only where the door and camera systems are compatible
